Smart Thermostat Program Terms and Conditions

It is up to you to determine the suitability of a Smart Thermostat for your home. General Pacific and your electric utility make no guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose and disclaim any liability for consequential damages arising out of the use of, or the inability to use the Smart Thermostat.

By receiving an instant rebate, I confirm that:
(1) I will install the thermostat at the service address indicated in the program Survey (pop-up screen prior to checkout).
(2) I do NOT have any of the following as the primary heat source for my home: ductless heat pump, electric resistance baseboard or in-wall heaters, or gas furnace.
(3) I have completed the Compatibility Checker (linked to on the main page) to ensure the thermostat will work with my HVAC system.

If you have a heat pump with auxiliary heat and choose to manually adjust the aux heat lockout (or “threshold”), we recommend a temp setting of 30-35°F.
